Subject; Road America Concours d' Elegance

The second event of this years run for the Championship has passed into
the
record book. Mother nature tried to compete by throwing everything she had
at our winners. The N.A.S.T. competators would not succumb to her attempts
to spoil their best efforts. Best of Show Bobtail went to Blue Leasing of
West Bend Wi. This 2000 Pete 379 is truly a super ride, it was prepped,
displayed and is driven by Ryan Radtke. Best of Show Combination went to
a Jerry Kissinger with his 91 Mack Superliner and Great Dane Reefer. One
look at this old dog will make a young pup want to pull a freight train.
Best of Show Non Working Truck was presented to Quad Graphics of Sussex, Wi.
Their 2001 Peterbilt ? Large Car ? with it?s Great Dane trailer sports the
companies logos and color scheme. The Truck Lite Trophy Series qualifier is
Jerry Kissinger and his Magnificent Mack. Jamie Lindemuth {Sr. Marketing
Assistant, Marketing Communications & Services for Truck-Lite Co., Inc.} was
on hand to make the presentation to Mr. Kissinger. This truck is a true
statement of the driver and his devotion to trucking. We know how loud he
barks, in Louisville next spring all the other competitors will find out how
hard he bites. In the event Jerry cant make to Mid America Trucking Show the
alternate is Joe Schmitt and his award winning KW.
This show had a few ? Special Awards ? Peoples Choice was voted by the
show participants and once again the 2001 Pete of Quad Graphics gets the Trophy.
Accepting this award was Chuck Karnitz. Before the day was done we were able
to get Chuck to make one more appearance at the podium to receive the Best
Peterbilt in Show award. This is an award sponsored by The Peterbilt Motor
Corp. of Denton Tx. And presented by Ms Kittie Hermus from the Peterbilt of
Wisconsin family. All 1st place trophies were donated by OOIDA, Owner
Operators and Independent Drivers Assoc. of Grain Valley Mo. Lucas Oil
Products of Corona Ca. provided the Best of Engine awards.
We at N.A.S.T. would like to thank all of our show participants for
their dedication last weekend the weather was not what we ordered but it is what
we received and each of them made our time there remarkable. The date for
this years show had been change and we hope to stay in this time slot so we
can be in Elkhart Lake Wi. for the Superbike Races again next year. A
complete listing of all the winners and class placing will be available on
the N.A.S.T. website www.nastshowtrucks.org If you need or require any
